CurrencyThe currency of Belgium is the Euro (EUR).LanguageThere are two official languages in Brussels: Dutch (Flemish) and French.Banking facilitiesBanks are open Monday to Friday from 09:00 to 16:00. The most common automatic cash machines (Bancontact/MisterCash) are linked to international networks, and are widely available.The closest cash machine to Square is located at the corner of Cantersteen street and rue des Sols/Stuiverstraat.
Paying and tippingMajor credit cards are accepted in most hotels, shops and restaurants. However, it is also recommended that visitors carry small amounts of cash at all times.Prices in hotels and restaurants as well as the price of taxi fares are calculated to include taxes and service.
